4 Months -Oh, no!

I won't lie. I think this month was pretty much a blur, but not necessarily just because time flies when you are focused on the subtle changes in your child's life. This month was the first trip Serenity took to California and probably one of the saddest Fielding has had in a while.

I was heading home from my chiropractor appointment when I returned a call I'd missed from Fielding. He was supposed to be getting ready to go in to work for a couple of hours for a meeting and I figured he was running late or some other minor issue. He told me he wasn't going to his meeting and I asked him why. (I was a bit frustrated because I was rushing to get home so he could make it in time.) He then told me, "Scott got shot down". "What do you mean, Scott got shot down?"

This was the beginning of a very long month. I'm sure I could go in to more detail, but frankly, I don't want to start crying. I'm not good with death or funerals and would love to ignore all of them indefinently, but it's a part of life that happens. And while everyone wishes this hadn't happened and everyone still misses Scott, I know that miracles happen and that we'll see him again.

A) Miracles happen...I kid you not, I found out maybe...four hours before calling Fielding that we could file some education costs with our 2011 taxes and get about $1200 back. We filed the ammendment and had enough to pay for the trip to Cali to attend the funeral services.
B) I know we'll see him again...What more can I say than this. It's what I believe and I don't doubt it for a second. Yes, it's that simple for me. (Sometimes the simple answers are the right ones all along.)

One last chance to wear the bug outfit before she completely outgrows it. I'm pretty sure this is the day her pediatrician called her a little bug and THEN noticed she had a bug on her outfit.

These next couple of pictures remind me of faces Colin made when he was a baby. So much fun!

Yes, I can imagine her clasping her hands together. "Okay, so the next thing we need to do is..."
Oy! She wiggles far too much some days. All I get are blurry pictures.

I stole/used Fielding's camera to get these. I think that's why they look better. She obviously still loves her toes, orange towel and showers. She actually starts to get really excited when she hears the water running.

                                         She's happy, adorable and
                                                                                              ........Oh, so talented. *sigh*

Apparently she's done now that I have blackmail for her when she's older. Mwhahaha!

She's just THIS cool! Aunt Kelli let her wear Ella's sunglasses.
Such a compact sleeper. You can take her any where.

The rest are pretty much just happy smiling pictures.

First Fourth of July
Thank goodness for those that serve and keep us safe.
Visited mom at work for a couple hours.
I just told them there was a squeaky mouse hiding under my desk. It worked for a while.

Apparently I did something wrong? Maybe I sang?

Playing with Mandi, Meg, Annie, and Ellie

She did NOT like the idea of pizza though.
(It was delicious by the way.)

I think I like these pictures because she's wearing orange AND in comparision to the bow on her head she looks absolutely miniature.

Oh NO!!! My worst fears are confirmed. A thumb sucker!
Holding her bottle by herself. Hooray! She's so talented.

A 'healthy', happy baby!

Outfit from Grandma Hewitt
Chilling with Cousin Pez

More smiles...oh, wait. She didn't want to wear her fox hat.

She still fit in her blessing gown (Which I STILL love). So Kelly Price was kind enough to take some fabulous pictures of her in it. (Even though Serenity didn't want to be very smiley.)

LOVE the pictures though.

Thank goodness for angels that come to us when we need them.
Whether to spend some time with us or watch over us.

Oh no, I am so sorry you lost someone close to you. I have a hard time with death, and it seems like you're dealing with it well, so that is fantastic. You're attitude is admirable. And like always, Serenity's big smile warms my heart! Such a beauty, like her mama!
